Typical Uses
P3300 is a favorite for electrical and lightweight mechanical tasks due to its compact profile. Engineers and contractors employ the P3300 for the following purposes rather than aiming for a bulkier, deeper trench and overshooting the required load:
Cable tray supports, electrical conduit, and wiring routeing
Commercial lighting frameworks and suspended ceiling grids
HVAC ductwork bracing and trapeze pipe hangers
For vital mechanical infrastructure, seismic bracing
Personalized shelving, racking, and lightweight framing
FAQS
What distinguishes the Unistrut P1000 from the P3300?
It boils down to load capacity and height. Both are made of 12-gauge steel, however the P3300 is just 7/8" tall (a shallow, low-profile channel), and the P1000 is 1-5/8" tall (a deep channel). When space is limited and maximum heavy-duty weight capacity is not strictly necessary, the P3300 works well.
Is stainless steel an option for the Unistrut P3300?
Indeed. We provide the P3300 in 304 and 316 stainless steel. Chemical facilities, maritime environments, and highly exposed outdoor applications can all benefit from these grades' strong corrosion resistance.
Does the Unistrut P3300 require welding in order to be installed?
No. Spring nuts, threaded rods, bolts, and brackets power the whole Unistrut system, allowing connections to be assembled quickly and remain fully adjustable on-site.
Is it possible to cut the P3300 channel to specific lengths?
Indeed. Although we can provide precise custom-cut sizes to meet your technical and project requirements, standard factory lengths are 3 meters (10 feet) and 6 meters (20 feet).
