Unistrut P1100

Abhay Steels Manufactures and Distributes Unistrut P1100 Channel in India

Unistrut P1100 of the most robust and versatile profiles available for bolt-together framing is the Unistrut P1100. At Abhay Steels, we provide authentic P1100 channels that satisfy global requirements without sacrificing quality.

Unistrut P1100: What is it?

P1100 is a solid, 12-gauge (2.5 mm thick), 1-5/8 x 1-5/8 (41 x 41 mm) metal framing channel. P1100 is particularly robust for direct mounting and welding because it has a continuous solid profile without return lips, in contrast to the back-to-back P1000 series. You may achieve complete adjustability without drilling or welding on-site thanks to its continuous slot with inturned edges, which accepts conventional Unistrut spring nuts and fittings.

Consider it the heavy-lifting relative of the typical strut profiles. It is constructed from high-quality mild steel that complies with IS 5986 and ASTM A1011, and it is available in finishes appropriate for any setting.

We always have the P1100 in stock in a variety of finishes, so you never have to compromise on corrosion resistance:

  • Pre-Galvanized (PG) steel has an inexpensive, silvery finish and is suitable for indoor.
  • For outdoor and coastal work, hot-dip galvanized (HDG) offers better rust resistance.
  • Black or plain steel is suitable for painting or powder coating following manufacturing.

Uses in Which P1100 Excels

    Our P1100 channels appear in:
  • Solid purlins and module rails for solar PV mounting in high-wind areas
  • Conduit racks and electrical cable trays: stiff cross members for heavily loaded trays
  • Strong beams and columns for material handling on industrial mezzanine floors and racks
  • Vibration-resistant mounting frames for rail and transportation projects

FAQ

  • What is a Unistrut P1100 channel's actual load capacity?
  • The type of loading, support conditions, and beam span all have a role. A one-meter-long, simply supported P1100 can support a load of roughly 200–250 kg, evenly distributed within its safe operating range. Refer to the official Unistrut load tables or contact our technical staff for project-specific figures.

  • Is it possible to utilize the P1100 back-to-back like the P1000?
  • Not at all. The P1100 is not intended to be welded back-to-back since it is a solid channel. The P1000 (12 gauge) or P2000 (14 gauge) profiles are ideal for back-to-back setups. When you need a single heavy-gauge component for embedment, clamping, or direct welding, use the P1100.

  • Is it possible to use regular Unistrut spring nuts and brackets with the P1100?
  • Indeed. Standard Unistrut M8, M10, and M12 channel nuts, spring nuts, and all corresponding brackets, clamps, and angle fittings are compatible with the slot dimensions (22.2 mm x 12.7 mm).

  • What lengths are available for P1100?
  • We have regular 3-meter (10-foot) lengths in stock, and for large orders, we will cut to precise millimeter lengths at no additional cost. Additionally, custom profile fabrication and hole-punching are offered.

  • Is it possible to obtain P1100 in stainless steel for a solar project along the coast?
  • Indeed. For corrosive environments, including offshore platforms, chemical facilities, and coastal solar farms, we frequently provide P1100 in SS304 and SS316. These are long-lasting without corrosion.
