ASTM A240 SS 430 2B Finish slitting coil offer good corrosion resistance against mild atmospheric conditions, especially indoors. This grade is better than carbon steel grade, mainly suitable for non-chloride applications. X12Cr13 1/4 Hard slitting coil show good formability and ductility properties, ideal for deep drawing, spinning, and complex structures without the risk of cracking. These grades show magnetic behaviour, which can be very beneficial throughout various applications involving magnetic separation and sensors, and electromagnetic equipment. UNS S43000 Hot Rolled(HR) slitting coils resist oxidation and can survive scaling up to approximately 815 degrees Celsius, limited to intermittent temperatures only. Grade 430 1/2 Hard slitting coil feature a good finish and accept polishing to a bright finish, mainly being the nice choice for decorations and visible parts. Since UNS S43000 3/4 Hard slitting coil have low alloy content with no presence of nickel, this results in a more stable material with cost-effective pricing as compared to 300-series expensive austenitic grades.
