UNS S32109 Perforated Plate bind with carbon to reduce the high risk of sensitization and intergranular attack at critically high temperatures up to 870 degrees Celsius. 321 is typically chosen for general high-temperature service, while 321H is usually a higher-carbon variant (ranging 0.04-0.1% content) and hence used when maximum creep resistance is required for pressure vessels or structural components operating above 500°C. Grade 321H is used across structural components as well, even at high temperatures.
